UCFSD Dedicates Two New Synthetic Turf Fields

K&W’s Marc Singley was proud to be a part of Unionville-Chadds Ford School District’s dedication ceremony for its two new synthetic turf fields. Marc has been working with the District since 2018 on an Outdoor Facilities Master Plan which laid out the vision for the double-turf fields designed by K&W. Happy to work with LandTek and the rest of this great team to support UCFSD students and this amazing community!

Golfing for a Great Cause

Our staff does empirical research to improve our understanding of both turf and natural grass conditions! We did just that and then some as a sponsor of the Conestoga Valley Education Foundation’s 23rd annual Golf Classic. K&W team members Cathy Lee, Ryan Shuster, Jeff Shyk, and Dave Buckwalter enjoyed a beautiful day on the links raising funds for the important work that CVEF does to support students, teachers, and the community.

K&W is excited to announce the expansion of our in-house team with geotechnical experts David Buckwalter and Michael Wright. Adding geotechnical consulting to our civil engineering, landscape architecture, and survey services will streamline site planning and allow K&W to provide practical engineering solutions to subsurface challenges during the land development process. Having collaborated on more than 50 K&W projects over the last decade, Dave and Mike are highly respected by the K&W team. Both bring more than 20 years of experience on a wide range of geotechnical projects.

Award-winning Landscape Architect and Athletic Facility Designer Joins K&W

Carolyn DuBois, ALSA brings extensive site design and project management expertise to K&W clients. Her 35-year career includes more than 50 higher education projects, 80 K12 school projects, and 90 athletic facilities for K12, university, and professional sports teams. She has also designed dozens of healthcare, commercial, municipal, and public safety sites.

Several of Carolyn’s athletic projects have received Distinguished Facilities Awards from the American Sports Builders Association, including a recently completed NCAA Soccer Facility.
