K&W is seeking qualified CAD Technicians / Designers with 0-5 years experience in AutoCAD drafting and design for site design and civil engineering projects.  Candidate shall possess:

  • Working knowledge of boundary and topographic surveys, site layout, utility and roadway layout and profiling, grading and earthwork calculations, and erosion control plans.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3d and/or Land Development Desktop software.
  • Knowledge and experience in IntelliSOLVE Hydraflow Storm Sewer and Hydrographs software a plus.
  • Candidates must also exhibit the ability to adhere to established CAD standards.

East Hanover Twp breaks ground on public works building

East Hanover Township broke ground on their new, 29,000sf public works building. K&W designed the 14 acre site for the building that will accommodate its public works and vehicle maintenance needs. The Township will also use the facility for salt storage, yard waste composting and landscaping.

K&W revitalizes Hamilton School’s playground

On November 13th K&W Engineers’ employees volunteered for the USGBC Central PA Chapter’s Green Apple Day of Service at the Hamilton School in the Harrisburg School District, alongside students and faculty, to revive the playground and basketball court.  With assistance from the community, Green Apple provides schools with the opportunity to be transformed into safe and healthy learning environments.

Little Learners Opens its Doors

Little Learners opened its doors to a new 14,000 s.f. child development facility at 2323 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg. K&W Engineers designed the site for developer, The Vartan Group. Vartan is currently working on developing additional buildings at the same site to create a dynamic community resource.

Connellsville Area Senior High School awarded LEED Project of the Year

Connellsville Area Senior High School was awarded the LEED Project of the Year Award by USGBC Central Pennsylvania’s 2015 Forever Green Awards.  The High School was completed renovated and has met the U.S. Green Building Councils LEED Gold standards.  The school has reduced its energy consumption by 30% by incorporating high efficiency systems and finishes.  K&W Engineers is proud to have been on the design team that provides the students, faculty and community an environmentally friendly future with this school.
