Lighten Up Harrisburg

K&W is a proud sponsor of Lighten Up Harrisburg’s Glow Run, which coming back to Riverfront Park on June 6, 2015.  Lighten Up Harrisburg is 100% volunteer all which is organized by a dedicated team that resides in the Harrisburg area.  100% of proceeds from Lighten Up Harrisburg is put right back into the city to help add and fix street lights within the city limits.  The runners will be sure to put on a light show dressed in glowing accessories!  Registration is now open!  To join and support this great cause visit Lighten Up Harrisburg’s website or Facebook page.

Planet Fitness opens in TechPort

A new Planet Fitness opened this week in Swatara Township. K&W did the land development and site design for the 20,000 sf facility located in the TechPort Business Center on Port View Drive. The new facility is double the size of the former location on Paxton Street.

Gilligan’s to transform Ye Olde Ale House

Gilligan’s has set its sights on transforming the Ye Olde Ale House on the Carlisle Pike into yet another amazing Gilligan’s restaurant.  Currently there are two Gilligan’s locations in the Harrisburg area, and soon Gilligan’s will be opening on the West Shore.  K&W has been a part of both Harrisburg locations, and we are is excited to be a part of the newest location in Mechanicsburg.  Look for Gilligan’s to open in this prime location in Mechanicsburg later this year.

Engineers Week Competition Continues…

The K&W Team continues to celebrate Engineers Week by building structures made solely out of toothpicks and gum drops!  The structures were built with a 3″ height minimum and with the hopes of withstanding the weight of reports placed on top of the buildings.   All of the teams did a fantastic job, however Team Marc, Meg, Greg & Cheryl prevailed with the strongest structure.

K&W Team Celebrates Engineers Week

The team from K&W has kicked off Engineers Week by celebrating with a friendly competition during the lunch hour!  Jenga offered the staff a little break, but don’t let that fool you – the Civil Engineers and Landscape Architects strategized every move!
