City Islanders Submit State Grant for New Stadium

Harrisburg City Islanders are closer to a new stadium with the submission of a State grant application by Harrisburg Capital Soccer, Inc.  If approved, the stadium will provide the Islanders and community with a state-of-the-art facility that builds upon City Island as a sports destination and economic driver.  K&W Engineers worked with Islanders ownership and Delta Development in preparing the application.

K&W Employees Plant Trees on Arbor Day

K&W and its employees gave back to the community on Arbor Day by planting trees at McNaughton & Schiavoni Parks in Swatara Township.  The team planted over 100 trees along the entrance and throughout the park.  Thank you Central Penn Business Journal for the mention in the “Off the Clock” section of the journal!

Harrisburg Moves Forward with 2015 Comprehensive Plan

K&W is honored to be part of the team selected by the City of Harrisburg to update their Comprehensive Plan.  Our team of local and internationally experienced consultants will work with City leadership and staff to evaluate numerous key elements such as transportation, housing, and utility infrastructure.  This work, combined with extensive public input and participation, will result in a plan which provides a solid foundation and guidance for growth and development in Harrisburg for the next 20 years.  For additional information please see the article written by The Burg.

The M.S. Hershey Foundation Celebrates Groundbreaking

The M.S. Hershey Foundation celebrated the opening of a new chapter yesterday with a groundbreaking ceremony for the Milton and Catherine Hershey Conservatory.  This new facility will include a butterfly atrium and educational space while also functioning as the new entrance to Hershey Gardens.  The addition of this building will allow guests and visitors to enjoy the Gardens year round for the first time in its 78 year history.  The Conservatory is anticipated to open Summer 2016.  Please read more about Hershey Gardens and the Conservatory by visiting PennLive.
