Another Successful Glow Run Benefits Harrisburg

For the second year in a row, K&W has sponsored Lighten’ Up Harrisburg to help the city fix broken street lights and to gain additional lighting throughout the City.  This past year Lighten’ Up Harrisburg had nearly 300 runners cross the finish line all with the same goal to help make the City safer.  Visit Lighten’ Up Harrisburg for more information and keep an eye out for the 2016 run!

BeHBG Swings Into Full Gear

A huge thanks to all the folks who attended the City of Harrisburg’s Comprehensive Plan update public outreach meetings over the past two weeks!  Many positive thoughts were shared and valuable information obtained.  If you were unable to attend or have some other suggestions, please visit www.behbg.com to share your thoughts.  Registration is simple and you can submit your own ideas or vote for others that are already posted.  The site also includes other important information such as updates, meeting schedules, etc.  Make your voice heard, Harrisburg!

 

Susquehanna Township Approves Circle School’s New Building

The Circle School – one of three PA schools that run on “democratic principles” – is approved by Susquehanna Twp. to start their new building this summer. Serving 96 preschool, elementary, and high school-aged children, the School is an independent, private day school. True to its self-directed approach to learning, students helped plan the building, and they will make weekly field trips to see construction in progress which is expected to be complete in winter 2016.  To learn more about this project please visit PennLive.
