West York Area School District holds dedication for Wallace Elementary

West York Area School District held an open house for the newly renovated Wallace Elementary School. Superintendent Dr. Emilie M. Lonardi and Principal Michael Brandt led the School’s dedication of a renovated main entrance, front sidewalk and parent drop off area, as well as new foyer, multipurpose room, and classrooms.  K&W was among Gilbert Architects and Quandel Construction Group tasked to design and complete the renovations.

 

 

 

East Hanover Township seeks the Community’s help

East Hanover Township, located in Dauphin County, is seeking community involvement to provide ideas as the Township prepares a new Comprehensive Plan, Recreation and Open Space Plan and a Master Site Plan.  The first public meeting will be held on October 7th at 7pm at the Township building (click on link for info) and will be followed by several additional meetings in early 2016.  The Township’s goal is a plan reflecting the residents needs and to provide the community a space that everyone can enjoy for years to come.

Green Apple Day of Service

The Green Apple Day of Service is a one-day event organized by the U.S. Green Building Council.  This program provides the opportunity for the local community, businesses and individuals to help schools across the country enhance their learning environments through local service projects.  Students will roll up their sleeves for a playground improvement project while also learning the importance of environmental sustainability both inside and outside the walls of their school.  K&W is proud to participate in this event through a collaboration with the Harrisburg School District at the Hamilton Elementary School.
