Facility Master Plan for Campus Improvements
K&W worked with the District and its architect to develop a long range plan to the MS/HS/DAO and Athletic ‘Campus’ Development North of Cadmus Road.
A Campus wide boundary and topography Survey was completed for the MS/HS/DAO Property. The on-lot wastewater treatment plant and water well were part of a decommissioning study and public sewer and water connections were added to the master plan.
The Kutz Property received Phase I and II environmental site assessments; boundary, topographic, and ALTA surveys; and wetlands due diligence assessments. K&W also completed bidding and construction phase services for the Kutz property and Cadmus House demolition work.
Multiple solutions to improve both parking and vehicular circulation were developed. The solutions minimize increases in impervious cover due to existing zoning limitations. Design solutions also included development of a singular bus parking area. This allows for the conversion of existing tennis courts for parking that add spaces without new impervious cover. Enhanced pedestrian safety (particularly student) is paramount, as well as better accessibility within campus and to or from the proposed sports complex.
Planned athletic enhancements included a new synthetic turf field, three new natural grass fields, new softball and baseball fields, and tennis court improvements. The new concept also creates a 5,000-square-foot field house and adds 624 parking spaces.
