Campus Master Planning / Districtwide Site Improvements

K&W worked with the School District to create a Master Plan for its 85+ acre campus that optimizes use of available land, improves pedestrian and vehicular circulation, and provides new athletic fields and facilities. Our team developed estimated construction costs, facilities phasing plans, and schedules for design, permitting, and construction of site improvements. The Master Plan includes renovations to the existing stadium, development of a secondary stadium at Jane Hoover field, new tennis courts and bleacher areas, a new field house, new parking facilities, renovation of an existing baseball field, two new softball fields, and new multi-purpose fields.

K&W helped the District to successfully complete Phase I of the Master Plan by preparing detailed design drawings, securing required permits and approvals, and providing extensive construction observation services. Designers had to accommodate an existing main transmission fiber optic line and address grading challenges due to significant elevations changes across the site, all within a compressed timeline in order to meet the District’s desired schedule.

Campus-wide Pedestrian Pathway

K&W provided design services to create a safe pedestrian walking / biking trail connecting two school campuses.

New Bear Creek Intermediate School

K&W provided campus planning and civil engineering services for the construction of a new 154,000-square-foot school on a 34 acre tract. The new plan had to address traffic concerns from two adjacent municipalities.

East High Elementary School Additions / Renovations 

K&W assisted the design team in planning an expansion of this existing school, including site modifications to improve its function.
