exploring options for two new turf fields
K&W worked with Shippensburg Area School District to create a plan for comprehensive improvements to its athletic facilities at its high school. The District’s existing natural grass fields are used heavily, and they wanted to explore adding synthetic turf fields capable of supporting a higher number of events and practices per year. Our team worked with school administrators and a steering committee to evaluate the District’s current facilities and determine athletic program needs.
The resulting plan creates two multi-purpose synthetic turf fields and provides improvements to track and field facilities, grandstands, restrooms, concessions, batting cages, storage buildings, parking and pedestrian walkways. K&W provided a conceptual athletic facilities layout and an estimate of associated construction costs.
